Tasting Notes
The wine expresses notes of wild berries, cherries, cassis, cedar, rose, and underwood flavours. On the palate, CR1 Redstone 2019 delivers a perfect balance with a full and soft body and a long, silky finish.
Vinification
Sourced from a 3-hectare, ocean-facing vineyard in Somerset West, in the Stellenbosch Wine Region. The 30+ year old vineyard is dry-farmed and overlooks False Bay. Incredibly special microclimate grows the grapes perfectly ripe, but not overripe. Developed for 30 months in partly new French oak barrels.
